The house of Creed perfume is one of the 100 oldest family run businesses in the world, was founded in 1760 by James Henry Creed. It is the worlds only privately owned luxury fragrance dynasty. It has been passed on from father to son since 1760. It is currently being run by Olivier Creed and his son Erwin, who is next in line to head the house. Erwin Creed will be a seventh generation master perfumer.
The Creed master perfumers have always had exceptionally high standards in the making of their fragrances. The Creed family, still to this very day use methods of hand production, including maceration and filtration, as well as being the fragrance industries largest user of natural ingredients.
